Welcome to MED’s Counseling Page!
Why hello there!
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been many awesome social, emotional and behavioral resources shared on the Internet. As such, we thought it would be beneficial for our families to be able to find these resources in location. With the help of Finley the Goldendoodle (whose owner is MED’s School Psychologist, Brittney Jory), we hope to provide you with some tips, resources and maybe even some laughs as we survive these “interesting” times together!
You may be wondering…what can you expect to find here?
We want this site to be a user-friendly resource to provide ideas, strategies, tips and smiles as well all survive COVID-19 together! Topics we hope to cover include:
-How COVID-19 impact social/emotional/behavioral functioning.
-How you can talk to your child about what is going on in the world.
-Strategies to manage anxiety.
-How to create a routine.
…and much more!
Suggestions for topics are welcome!
Finley is a 1-year-old Goldendoodle who has learned ALL about social, emotional and behavioral functioning from his mom, Brittney Jory. In November of 2019, Finley became a therapy dog! He looks forward to visiting MED in the near future. In the meantime, he enjoys belly rubs, playing with his toys and eating treats.
